N64 connection

N64 connection

right just bought one with goldeneye (nostalgia reasons ). whats the best way to connect one to a lcd tv. i know the quality wont be great but i just want the clearest pic i can possibly get.

There are a whole bunch of different hardware revisions of the N64 if I recall rightly. Some of them can output using S-Video, others can use RGB SCART (best). Some of them don't work with those cables and can only use Composite Video as an output which should be a last resort.

Whatever you do, don't use the RF/antenna cable which will look awful.

If you're willing to pay a little extra for the absolute clearest picture, you could look into having the machine modified to output RGB SCART. I don't have an N64 myself but I've been told (and can imagine) that it's well worth it.

is the rf cable the one that comes with it? worst comes to the worst il be setting up a second (and much worse) tv in my room
