My mates just bought himself an X-Box. Aside from Halo, can anyone suggest some good (really good) games for it, any genre.

Started playing Buffy on it in the last few days. I'm not a fan of the TV program, but the game is great fun.

Also try the old fav Project Gotham Racing or new awesome Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 (even though I prefer the PS2 version ).

Also heard that The Thing is meant to be good, but I haven't had the chance to play it yet.

Do a search, because this question has come up before.

Of the games I've bought for the system:

Halo: Fantastic
Amped: Pretty dull
DOA3: Not really a beat 'em up fan, but I reckon there are better in the genre
Rallisport Challenge: Disappointing
NBA2K2: Decent sports sim, though not much of an upgrade from NBA2K on the Dreamcast
JSRF: Not really my kind of game, but it has its fans
Morrowind: Massive RPG, dodgy combat and a few bugs, but a good game overall
Timesplitters 2: Early days, but I've found it quite dull so far

Dont worry about the games just yet - but when XBOX live hits the shores then you will want an XBOX - trust me, its going to change gaming forever ...

IF you have broadband that is.

And only if you have dedicated servers. Current UK broadband would only support 2-3 other players unless you have really tight netcode.
