bought a Dreamcast, yesterday.

Hi, folks.

I've bought a 2nd hand DreamCast to play Shenmue.
Anyway, a RGB scart cable came with the unit, and this is what causing a problem.

I've got Playstation2, GameCube, XBOX, N64, and DreamCast, and these guys share an RGB input of my TV via Quattro+ (RGB switching box).

When I connect the DC to the Quattrto+, there's a green/yellow cast on pictures. (This is very noticible, as if Y/Pb/Pr-component video signal is being input to RGB.)
The tricky part is that if I connect the DC directly to my TV's RGB input, the green/yellow problem's gone.

Can anyone see what the problem might be ??

BTW, is there a such thing as component video cable for DreamCast ??
If there's one, I'd love to buy one to use it on my front projector.

Thanks.

well done for buying a DC - still the best console with the best arcade games available.

Had exactly the same problem playing my DC through the Quattro+. In fact, occasionally the screen would go almost completely green and be unplayable. It was fine when connected directly to the TV though. In the end I bought an S-Video lead for the DC.

That explained everything.
I'll get a S-Video cable.
Thanks.

Oh, good!! VGA Adaptor.
My front projector accepts VGA(RGBVH) as well. I'll order one from Lan-Kwei.

I got my Dreamcast out of retirement about 4 months and it packed up 2 weeks ago.

I'm top of the list in Gamestation in Sutton when a second hand one comes in. I brought Virtua Tennis 2 and it wasn't a patch on the original.

RE: DC VGA cable

I have one and please bear in mind that only certain games can be displayed in VGA (60hz). But PSO does look fantastic
