Question Which games console??

Sorry to bring this up again guys, but after getting my Av system i'm now looking at replacing my failing psone.

So what should I go for x-box or Gamecube.
X-box is prob. better especially with sound, but Rogue leader looks so damn good!
What do you rec.

cheers
Mac

Halo is the best game going at the moment, bar none. Jet Set Radio is good, and Project Gotham Racing is entertaining. Not a lot else though...

But the GC has a far larger number of very entertaining games at the moment. Monkey Ball is the best of them, followed by Pikmin, Rouge Leader, Luigi's Mansion, and Resident Evil. WaveRace, and Smash Brothers if they float your boat too.

Your Money, Your Choice....

If its just in terms of games to seperate the two consoles:
i prefer sports and scifi games.

Never really liked the old nintendo mario type games, but the good exclusives on the xbox don't look to be as many.

Mac, you're better off looking at this thread here since we've had a debate on "which console" before... Just add your fave genres to the list and we'll answer them on the right thread.

Thanks.

PS 2 by a mile !!

If you havent got one already the PS2 is by far and away the best console to have in terms of games already released and games to be released, it still outsells these 2 new consoles by a mile and unlke them has more than 1 or two decent games .
PS2 is still thebest supported system by developers by a long way and will continue to do so.
If you already have a reasonable PC you dont need an XBOX because its one and only decent game HALO will be out on pc SOON ANYWAY
Gamecube has a few reasonable NINTENDOISH games that if you like may be worth getting the machine as a 2nd console as it is so cheap.

DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE NEWEST ISNT ALWAYS BEST !!

Once u complete Rougue Leader u can't take it online.

Go for xbox and rent out the games, jet set radio future,
oddworld, halo and f1 2002. That'll keep you busy till after
summer. you'll be amazed with 5.1 sound and excellent gfx.
fast loadingtimes, AND
rememer you won't need to shell out on endless memory cards like gamecube and ps2. Plus you can pick up bargains xbox games
and accesories from ebay so you won't need to pay a mental
price £45 for an xbox game. I only paid £18 for F1 2002.

But do try those other consoles if you can... u might like those
type of games. But i feel xbox will cater for everyones needs.

if u do get an xbox ....see you online :
