Mario Smash Football

I've heard this game is superb for the Nintendo Gamecube but I can't find it anywhere below £29.99.

I can't justify to the missus spending nearly £30 on a game!

Can anyone please help??

There were some cheap packages knocking around in the likes of argos. I bought a pearl white gamecube with mario footy and extra controller/mem bundled in, payed £40 for the whole lot from argos(they had a special price at the time which only showed in when you put the code in at the store order doobery). I sold the console for the same price on ebay so got mario soccer for free

Might be worth checking instore at argos incase they're still doing the package for the same price

Great game BTW, not one for the serious footbal game fans but loads of fun with four players!

It is very unlikely that someone will be able to help you. Nintendo games are reknown for being very expensive no matter how old the game is.

Unlike PS2 or Xbox games where new titles can drop to £9.99 brand new after a few weeks of being released, Nintendo games usually remain priced at £29.99.

I have been waiting for many Nintendo titles to drop but they rarely do and I have just come to learn that this is only Nintendo specific and is probably why Nintendo do not sell many games and in general are considered 3rd out of the 3 brands.

Still looking for Pikmin 2 to come down to about £15 (well as its been so long I would come to think about it actually only pay £10 for it now) despite being released 100 yrs ago and am still waiting for titles like Geist, Battalion Wars and Fire Emblem to deviate from the £30-40 they usually sell for. However I think I will have to wait till the revolution is well into its prime.

To see good games such as Splinter cell chaos theory etc sell on the Xbox for 47p brand new and many other new xbox titles such as Far Cry, Conker etc retail at £7.50 new it would be very difficult for anyone to be a loyal Nintendo gamer.

Once the giant of the industry they now only play a niche role and although they add innovation to the market, it is only so long that they survive on just being gimmicky.

Just saw this offer advertised on hotukdeals Pearly White Mario Football Pack with FREE Sonic Riders and Ice Age 2 £79.99 http://shop.game.net/ViewProduct.asp...112&mid=328537

If you do a spot of ebay selling you could probably recoop most of your money spent and be left with a cheap Mario Football

Better hurry though as apparently the offer ends on monday.

You could look for a preowned version of it.

I bought the cheap deal from argos. Tried Smash footy.. and its RUBBISH.
Agree with Games Guru. Its effectively like playing Monkeyball football.
I felt sorry for the person who spend £35 on my Mario Footy..
but it meant I got a very cheap cube.. just annoying I cant connect to component

Glad to see I'm not the only one that likes it. For me, if you take it for what it is, ie. a football themed multiplayer party game, it's pretty damn good. I mean we've often had people around who don't usually play games having a blast playing Mario Football on the PJ

Wouldn't play it single player though, multi's where it's at with this one!

I too personally think Smash Football is a rubbish game. It is very much like a cartoon vesion of Fifa Street as opposed to a proper football game like Pro Evo.

Despite Fifa Street being absolute pants the fact that it sold a few copies suggests either there are alot of mugs out there or it adds another dimension to football game.

My view would be the former but the truth is probably the latter.
