It's been getting some good reviews. Interested to know how the aiming by stylus works in practice.

The control system on the demo was lacking. I hope it has improved.

It has arrived!

Got the game today (US version), well impressed with control system, it is no where near as complicated as I thought or was led to believe (I am a lefty by the way!), its works, very well.

Only had a quick blast in single player seems good, even managed to connect on line and have a quick blast - I was wasted in no time by someone!

Looks promising, now just need to find the time to play - then setup some AVForums matches!!!

Meteos is superb, one of the best titles on the DS and much better than Lumines IMO

Just completed the first level and for me it was brutally hard, now that could either be:

1) I am not very good at games
2) My family commitments mean I get little chance to play
3) The slightly odd control systems take a little while to fully adapt
4) The save points have been put in some rather unfair places

I guess its all of the above! Any how, the game looks good for a DS, but some of the enemies seem a bit like boring polygons. The one player game seems a little "tagged on" to the multiplayer part. Control systems works well!

No, well I did have the 2d version for the GBA but I hated that and got rid of it. It was too "retro" for me.

Why do you ask, because of the way I am describing the game or the fact that I am finding hard?

I must admit I would prefer the gameplay to be focused around somthing else...

E.G. A remake of Golden Eye would be much more fun! But that would never happen!
Basing the game in the Alien/Aliens environment would be amazing especially as you have the screen at the bottom to pick up enemies!!!

EDIT - for got to add, played another multiplayer session last night and managed to win! However it was one of those levels in space where you can "fall" off the screen and die, very annoying for me, plunged to my death many a time.

That is funny that you should think it is hard, after a weekend's play with it I am almost 50% of the way through and finding it really easy.

I am getting pains in my elbow from holding the DS, it isn't the most ergonomical to hold and use a stylus at the same time I must say.

The graphics are amazing for the DS, and overall I think it is a good game.

.
Well metroid is generally about the story, adventure and exploration and less about action and fights, its why us metroid geeks love it.

oh I see, there certainly is a lot of exploration in it.

Games Guru - I found the main part of the game fine, its that first end of level boss with the flame type lazers that really really ****** me off.

BTW the control system feel fine to me.

In all I only had about 1 to 2 hours play up to that stage all weekend - still no excuse I am not really a good gamer unless its driving sims or rythm action.
