X Box Advanced Scart Optical Output?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but is the optical link a Tos-Link?

I've always used Coax for DVD and never looked at optical (no pun intended!).

Went to a shop at lunchtime and there are various types of optical connection.

My amp is a Sony STRDB940 and I'm pretty sure this only has Toslink connectors.

Is there a limit to how long the optical cable should be. Found a 2.5m cable at Richer Sounds. Want to be able to pull the X Box away from the TV and amp (even though the controller lead is long).

Thanks. Would like to get what I need before Thursday so its all ready to go!

For the next few weeks....good bye life!!!!!

Tell me about it. I was up until 4am. I was tempted to call in sick but they knew I was getting the XBox so they wouldn't have fallen for that one. Spent most of my time on Halo and Amped.
