Very sleek and understated, I hope the console can be placed flat too though.

I wonder what the 2 USB ports on the back of the unit will be for...?

And below the USB ports thw AV Out looks like the digital on on the gamecube. Maybe I can use my component cable? Now that would be cool!!!

Very unlikely I'm afraid, as there's no equivalent of the analogue out, so that would mean that the Rev can't output any sound - which I don't particularly see happening!!

And with this being the only console that you can play one handed (With that great controller) losing an arm wouldnt be too terrible

Hopefully then they will just release a Component cable that comes with Audio connectors on it as well.

. there is vent at the back for the fan so heat will be dispersed there so no obvious reason not to have it flat.
think it would be better flat too.

from what i've heard the stand is actually the psu as well, so doubt it will lay flat, unless they change the design.

Hopefully not and it doesn't look like that will be the case - the photo of the back of the unit shows the power cable going into the console, not the stand.

This was an incorrect story reported by the Official Nintendo Mag, and then copied by lots of online news sites. It was rejected as by an Official Nintendo Statement.

Also look at the photos the PSU plugs right into the back. So no worries it should lay down!

Beautiful piece of kit, going to look lovely sitting next to the Xbox360

I better start easing off preordering Xbox360 titles and start saving for the Revo!

Rumour definitely suggests prog scan will be supported - and as it's backwardly compatible with the Cube, I would have thought it would be highly illogical not to.

I was hoping they would go together, but I want a Black revolution (or silver) so it will fit in the my AV Equipment, but I have just had to buy a Navy DS Lite as it is the closest I could get to back. (I hate the apple white look, and lite blue is not my colour)

Althought the Navy DS Lite is almost black I'm not worried it may not match my Revo when I get one!

The revolution is tiny. Here is a size comparison, although note its not in its cradle.

Thanks for all the pics and size comparisons, certainly looks the dogs nuts. I hope it will have some kind of high quality output, because analogue connections like scart, composite and s-video look ***** on my hd lcd. Also can't help but be skeptical about that controller, it just doesnt look like it would be suitable for a lot of conventional game types. This would mean developers having to make games specifically for the the Revo meaning more originality and less direct ports, but sadly history has shown that when this happens a console severely lacks third party development support and hence commerical success.

Nintendo have a history of proving us wrong though, and I'm sure they'll work their magic with this.
