games for my daughter

Hi all,

Could anybody recommend a game or games for my six year old daughters birthday?

We brought her a nintendo DS for Xmas simply because she went on and on about Nintedogs. After hours and hours of trying to get her pup to even to understand its name she gave up.

She's quite girly and it's a shame to see her games console go unnoticed in the corner so could anybody recommend a few games, old or new to rekindle her interest?

Cheers Baxter

I'd recommend getting her Zoo Keeper. It's a simple but highly addictive puzzler, my girlfriend loves it & even I tend to get a bit hooked when I pick it up. I don't know if you've ever played bejeweled but it's basically the same only with cute animals instead of gems. Very easy to get into and the touchscreen mechanics work really well.

Best thing is you can nab it for the bargain price of £11.99 delivered from SimplyGames http://www.simplygames.com/product.asp?id=4595 You can't go wrong

How about Kirby: Canvas Curse, it’s a nice little puzzler which shouldn’t be too difficult for your 6-year old daughter. It has got some decent reviews too!

Bratz Rock Angels? It's a GBA game but should play? My daughter (also 6) enjoys it - not sure how good a game it is but it's Bratz so has kept her entertained for a good few hours.

She's also got Lego Star Wars which is entertaining and quite fun so you can borrow it for a few goes when she's gone to bed. Sorry again this is GBA but will work on DS as far as I know.

My daughter's favourite game is Tetris - not sure if there is a DS version, Zoo Keeper sounds similar ish, or you could prbably get an original GB Tetris for a few pounds off ebay.

I'd reccomend Animal Crossing too, my kids are getting it next week, check out the website its www.animal-crossing.com , they cant wait to get it and their ages are 13,11,and 6, it looks more fun than Nintendogs and you can play it over the internet with other players via wi-fi which should be fun.

Meteos is a great game, but probably too boyish.

My missus absolutely loves playing on Animal Crossing, and there is a new game called super princess peach, which is a super mario game but in reverse.
