Cant stop !!!

Does anyone else find it hard to stop buying games and catch up on the ones you already have.I am currently trying to play fifa, metroid prime, animal crossing ww,rocky and yoshi`s island.Mix this with a family,12 hour shifts and many unwatched dvds and the result is days that are too short and not enough sleep.Still find myself looking for more games.I think someone should start a help group for this addiction.

Yep, I've had the same problem for a few years now Gone are the days when I used to complete my games before moving on to the next ones. Infact I think the last time I played most of my games to completion was in the first year of Playstation1, there weren't many I didn't complete back then.

By the way, my name's Lee & I'm glad I came to the group

I know what you mean. I have stopped buying Gamecube games untill I compleat some of the ones I have, I have 21 games and have only compleated 7. Also I'm torn as to if I should sell compleated games to fund new ones or keep then arround incase I want to play them again (which I won't if they are single player games like metriod prime).

Also got a DS Lite the other day an have gone on a mad shopping spree buy DS games like mad !!!

Maybe we should start a support group

Last week it has been GRAW, 4 games for the GBA Micro, PSP Syphon Filter & Daxter. This Friday it will be Oblivion. With twins arriving in April I am on one mad last dash to get as much gaming in as possible

This is very true!!! Just finished knights of the old republic, i played it for
2 weeks in 2003, swapped it, then bought it again this year. I still haven't finished Wind Waker, Metroid Prime and haven't even opened Metroid Prime
2 yet!!! I made a resolution not to buy any more games until i finished the ones i have, but i bought Half Life 2.

One thing i know i will be getting the revolution this year!

I feel I'm in the same boat...

Work, Sport, Socialising, DVD's, Games - never enough time (or money come to think about it!).

I've bought in the last week Resident Evil DS, Metroid Prime Pinball, Quenden, True Swing Golf, Tetris DS and Metroid Prime Hunters.

Next week is pay day and I'm getting Advance Wars, Phoenix Wright and Animal Crossing and possibly Mario & Luigi. I'm on a massive DS scurge at the minute!

I have roughly 300+ games and 400+ DVD's there isn't enough time to do everything. I have massive backlogs and it drives me crazy! As I like to think I try to complete everything to the end but sometimes I have got really stuck and just ended up moving on to something else, but it bugs the life out of me that I have games unfinished!

I need help!

(I can't wait for the Revolution though, Come On!).

This thread has my name written all over it. To tackle the situation, I have been selling off games I know I’m just never going to play (>50% still sealed ) With my recent console purchases (360; PSP) I’ve been trying to purchase conservatively and buying only the titles I know I’ll enjoy, however that’s not seeming to work and the collection is already building…

Good luck!

When we had our first we agreed a "no gaming before they go to bed" rule. This works well and gives you plenty of time to spend with the kids which is much better than gaming anyway, but when you've a gaming addiction to feed it does become difficult. Even worse is when they start playing and you have to endure watching them play really badly, then you take the pad, obviously just to show them how it's done (oh, and don't give them the pad back!).

Erm yep I can honestly say I buy far more than I play.

I'm currently having a retro moment & buying loads of old Saturn, SNES & Dreamcast stuff while trying to save for my PC Engine Turbo Duo.

It never stops & I blame Ebay for this...they make it to easy for you to "Just Browse" & find some long forgotten classic that just HAS to be added to your collection.

I shall forever be broke

Neil

Tell me about it, I bought the Castlevania double pack recently and had forgotten how you can get so easily hooked into these games. When Circle of the Moon came out it took over my life!

Same problem here, too many games many of which still unopened. I very rarely finish games these days. It takes a high quality RPG to make me want to finish a game, most recent example was NeverWinter Nights on the PC a couple of eyars ago. Oh I completed Perfect Dark Zero on agent level and Mario Kart DS with all gold cups if that counts for anything...

I'm with you all on this one!!

I keep buying games but instead of playing through them, I keep reading about them to see how much others enjoyed them.

I think I need help.
