Nintendo download games pricing

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/news.php?aid=14079

Looks like nintendo are planning on charging a bit more than I was hoping for for their old titles. I was hoping for something like £1 a game upto £4-5 for the most popular titles from the NES SNES and N64. Seeing as most people own these games anyways its more of a novelty thing to download them rather than any serious gaming. The games you download on XBOX Live are more serious games, not better than nintendo classics but they are more suited to paying £10-£15 for. I cant see me shelling out £15 for a N64 game.

Hmm - makes you wonder who they actually asked, doesn't it?

20 USD is enough money to rule out any spur-of-the-moment downloads - the old "Ooh - that looks cool" or "Hey - I remember that" - if it was a couple of quid, maybe a fiver, then perhaps you'd download just for nostalgia's sake rather than do a bit of digging to find out whether it is worth downloading; was it really as good as you remember?

Bear in mind also that SOME N64 titles are being retextured and online play added. They're pretty tight lipped on which but I think I speak for the whole community when I say:

GOLDENEYE!

Goldeneye would be nice, however the genre has moved on quite a bit since then. I'm not sure whether it would be as good as I would hope it would be.

Unless they add improvements such as online play I probably won't be buying any, especially at that sort of price when I can just use emulators to play them. I want soemthing extra for my money, not just the same experience I've payed for many times before. I think Microsoft's service is actually much better, offering both new games and improved old games (they all seem to have Live play and be in HD) for a very good price (£3-£7)
