WI FI and D-Link routers...anybody else having problems?

And how do I get around it...?

I have a D-Link G604T wireless router that my DS will just not pick up. I've turned off all the WEP, WAP and whatnot and still nowt. My PSP connects just fine...

Anybody help please?

I've checked over at nintendowifi.co.uk and this particular router isn't mentioned - though it is compatible with other D-Link routers...

Family Guy, I'm also having problems, same router, same outcome.

I've not tried the Static IP thing yet (not entirely sure how to yet), but I did try using MAC codes (but to no avail).

If you do get a solution, could you stick it up here?

TIA

TM

I have exactly the same problem. Having searched on the internet, it seems that out of the box, the G604T is not compatible with the DS. There is a (slightly scary) option, which is to update the firmware with the latest Australian firmware. There are a number of walk through guides to do this, from a very helpful guy called Marty Mcsly - http://www.expansys.com/forumthread....551&thread=666.

Apparently Dlink are aware, but because it is not a core use of their product, they are not in a hurry to create an UK firmware update. I haven't taken the plunge, but I may well do- looking at the list of recommended routers on nintendowifi.com, none of them are combined adsl modems and routers.

Sorry for the bad news!

Thanks for the thread - worked for me!!!

However, I'm now working nights for the next week - so when you lot are zipping around the tracks, I'll be grafting.
See you next week though!!

Ah i'm glad I found this thread as I was having the exact same problem with the exact same router.

In the end I ordered the USB accessory you can plug into an internet connected computer and then use it as an access point for the DS. I might try this firmware update, but this adaptor will still be handy as it means I can take it on holiday etc and use it on any computer.
