£9.99 = Hours of fun . . . . .

This game has always been a bit of a modern day/old skool classic in my eyes, and now they have just released a updated version of the original, the game is called 'Mashed - Fully Loaded'.

This game can be picked up for a tidy sum of £9.99.

Basically think Micro Machines and your on the right tracks. There are enough tracks to keep you entertained for months, the weapon selection is actually really well balanced and there is a good variety of different handling cars. A.I. is occasionally on the unfair side, and the camera often leaves alot to be desired, but you learn to live with the games quirky issues because the fun factor just far outweighs everything else, this is multi-player bliss.

For a tenner you really can't go wrong, treat yourselves. The proper sequel hopefully will be LIVE enabled, can't wait for that

What was the point of the 'Reloaded' version when they did didn't put online play in the game?

I'll admit there doesn't seem much point, but there is just as much improvement in this update as numerous FIFAs with their yearly re-releases.

I believe the actual sequel will be coming out later on in the year, but this update mainly has tidier graphics with some new special effects, different weather conditions, reverse routes. I'm thinking there are a couple of new tracks, but I can't be certain because I only really played multi-player on the old version and we use to leave some of the tracks out. They have tweaked the old tracks with new shortcuts, and numerous explosive barrels around the outskirts. The handling is definitely trickier, making the game more challenging, but adding to the skill needed and not taking anything away from the fun.

So I'm still well happy with the £9.99 I spent on this, i'm sure i'll get rid of the old one in the next '4 games and 99p' deal at GAME.
