NTSC Resi 4 Boarders Not The Same on Both Disc's

Just started the 2nd disc on Resi 4 on a pal Gamecube ( USA NTSC Version )
The Widescreen boarders are smaller then disc 1 Why
I know the game is not in Widescreen but why din't both disc's look the same ratio

Disc 1 seem more like 2.35 ratio and look Bigger
Disc 2 seem more like 1.85 ratio and look smaller

Has anyone esle noticed this with the USA version of Resi 4 , is there something wrong with my copy of the best game on the Cube todate

From what i hear RESI 4 (NTSC) on a pal Gamecube dont run right.
Not sure about the full story, however a friend of mine said the Pal version on a Pal cube looks fine on a Widescreen TV.

Cant be sure untill my copy turns up from Play.com

My NTSC version runs great! There are borders at the top & bottom of the screen (which was done to keep up the framerate and isn't related to the NTSC output) but these aren't a problem and give the game a film like feel.
