I picked up my copy yesterday, it really is as good as you've read. Superb atmosphere to the game, and the first time you come up against a guy with a chainsaw and a couple of the big bosses, well you jaw will drop and you've just experienced some truly golden gaming moments

The main negative is to achieve the graphical quality they've had to reduce the display to a 4:3 widescreen variety. I also had black bars down the sides as well ala 'Burnout 3'. But luckily a quick play around with the PW6 zoom functions, and no boarders at all

I've had the US version for a good month or so and it's a decent game - deffinately worth a bash. The graphics are great and the contol (whislt still feeling like an RE game) is better.

The NTSC version is in Letterbox mode (like an anamorphic DVD) which fills a widescreen TV width wise and has borders top & bottom.

Alright mate how ya doing?

Are you using component for your cube to the pw6? i've only played xbox on my pw6 with component and have'nt got component for my cube.
Tell ya what though splinter cell 3 demo kicked ass on the pw6 looked awesome. Too many games coming out at the mo Resi 4 Forza Splinter cell 3 etc not gonna have enough time for them all.

Roll on tonight when i pick this game up.

I'm doing pretty good, cheers Yourself?

I'm just using a SCART connection for my GC, and I'm having to use my SCART board on my PW6 as my new PC is taking up the VGA input. This will be rectified soon though with the purchase of a new VGA board, as it really does soften the picture in comparsion.

Yeah, there are loads of games coming out, i've got a week off at easter so hopefully I can catch up and actually finish some of my games.

Hopefully it will be there when I get home if play.com sort their post out! Can't wait to play it. At last a proper Resi sequel instead of rehashing a ten year old game time after time after time.

The difficulty seems ok so far, I'm playing on normal at the mo, and have only died 6 times But a couple of these was because of my inability to keep my bullets in my pocket, trigger happy I am, good with a blade I've had to become!!

It also looks like unlimited continues and saves, so you'll be ok mate

Yeah, the Xbox only starts too shine on the PW6 in Progessive and Hi-Def modes.

And our team, hmmm.......I just never know what team is gonna turn up for a game, one that cares and really wants to win, or the more regular team that seems not to be arsed!! Juve will be tough, but I think it's our destiny to meet and beat Chelsea in the semi............................PLEASE

Giz.

I have had the US version since release day and still havent finished the game, I havent been playing it every chance I have but I have been working through it and its got to be one of the best games I have played for along time.

As for the way its displayed, I think alot of people would have liked it to be anamorphic widescreen instead of just fixed widescreen but even with the picture zoomed in it doesnt loose alot of quality and its defently worth playing it zoomed in instead of playing it with the black bars.

It is a very good game indeed. I've had the US version a while myself and i'm still on disc one! I guess I spent a few weeks on World of Warcraft & Hearts of Iron 2 & Brothers in Arms are also getting a lot of my time. The parts i've played so far have been great though and i'm sure it will get constant treatment until I finish it.

I got this friday only played about 5 hours but its a class game alright, the graphs own don't they? Think i've died 8 times so far but it was that guy with the bloody chainsaw i could'nt deal with him at first because like Giz i'm trigger happy and was almost out of ammo.

I'm on 3.1 can anyone tell me when i get rid of the girl? i hate having to help other people cos i'm rubbish at keeping them alive.

after you've done the third boss, there is a small but hectic village battle, once you get to the castle (scary place) you'll get rid off her

I also have been playing the NTSC version of Resi 4 , I have noticed on my 2nd disc the black boarders are smaller then disc 1 have you also noticed this WHY . I have been playing it for over 15 hours now and got to a bit where you have to kill a spikey alien looking monster to get the jail key and let the girl out haven't killed him yet , ran out of Ammo . His one hard Mother F***** .

I have to say this is a very good game , wonder if they will release anymore of the Resi series. This Game Rocks
