Street Fighter Anniversary Collection Question

Is this game 3D like Dead or Alive or is the same as the old versions?

Thanks In Advance.

It's basically all of the previous streetfighter games in one game, so it is still the same old 2D stuff. I haven't heard of any PC release and would be surprised if it did.

I think its a console game, so I guess this thread is going to be moved!

I have the PS2 version and (in japan anyway) it includes Super Street Fighter II Hyper Edition.

Basically the best SFII game with all the characters and all the colors as well as the super moves.

On the disk is also a full copy of the SFII Manga film which came out a few years ago.

Sepparately in japan capcom released Street Fighter III, 3rd Strike.

The US, UK and Korean versions of this release are both games on one disk.
Maybe without the movie.

Does it include all versions of the game under separate headings?

No they are all lumped together, which in two player mode if fine. For example Ken from the World Warrior can take on Ryu from Super Edition or anyother combination you care to think of. However it falls down a little in one player as no matter what version of the player you pick the CPU always pick the Super Turbo version and relentlessly throws the super moves at you. And also, either I am just really out of practise or have lost my mastery of the SF II art, but the game seems impossibly hard even on the easiest setting.

But I have just ordered this baby http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept...section-games/ so I can get the most out of this game. After browsing even more forums I am going to upgrade this to the Real Pro Hori stick just waiting on an answer from the supplier.

Well, I consider myself a black belt eighth-dan at SF2 and it took me 8 credits to beat it on the hardest setting last night (without using ryu, ken or guile, I might add!!).

Still the best video game ever made. Ever.

Nope, but you can get EX 3 on PS2, still its a 2D fighter with 3D graphics so you actually have to "play" the game and not button bash

I dont think the SF series was ever really meant to be a 3D game. It is possible however, that capcom may choose to go the full 3D route as many other games have in the past.

Todays beat em ups are all 3D with just one or two exceptions.

I still preffer to keep street fighter 2D. My favorite version is probably SFIII as it introduced amazing new graphics and moves and Lots of cool animations.

If you want a 3D fighter, get Dead or alive 3, Virtua Fighter 4 or some other game of this type.

I hate button-bashing 3D fighters. They give knobs, like my brother, the illusion of skill. We had a big Soul Caliber 2 sessions the other day and he was gloating like he actually HAD any skill at the game.

I ended up giving him a smack in the mouth (maybe a bit too hard, actually ) to calm him down.

The only SF2 game he has is SNK vs Capcom on GC. Same situation all over again. "How?" I hear you ask? It may not be 3D, but he uses that c-stick auto-combo thing ALL THE FLIPPIN TIME

"But I can't do dragon punches on the left-hand side" . Tough s**t! Practise more you lazy git.

These youngsters don't appreciate the skill, time & effort involved in actually learning special moves from the ground-up, along with their implementation and timing.

I mean, the YEARS I've spent refining my virtual Shotokan karate.....only to have capcom come along and automate everything !!

DT

Your absolutely right though, I bought SC 2 as well and my Mrs won five or six bouts in row by just button bashing and then came the gloating. SFII is pure skill there is no way you can win by button bashing on that one.

I just bought the XBox version of the SF Aniversary Collection!

Capcom really messed up in Japan.
The version they release here came out multyregion even though it wasnt supposed to!

I have a US Xbox and I thought i would have to wait untill January to get it but my friend in a shop here told me waht happened and he kept me a copy before capcom had a chance to pull all the copies off the shelves!

I played it a bit today and its amazing! 5.1 DD, Progressive, Online play (no one on though!)
Even the old SFII manga movie is in there!
The box is also smart. It folds out to become a calender!...?
And theres a poster like the ones from the arcade that shows all the character moves.

All in all a good package that only cost me 20 quid! Best of all it will play on any XBox in any country!

This is a most extremely limited edition so dont expect to find any!
