Is Donkey Konga any good? as the bongos are £22 quid on thheir own and game is £30 is it a pure gimmick or an OK party game?

It gets my vote. It will probably get shifted later this week when my copy of Paper Mario 2 turns up, but it's well worth a look. I'm even considering getting a GB copy to go alongside my NTSC one for the alternative tracks, and another set of bongos of course.

The new donkey kong game will only use the bongos i'm informed.

it will be a 2d platform game, promises to be excellent as well.

Got these a few days ago for half term

have kept kids busy, and good fun for adults too for short times. UK version has decent enough songs. recommended, esp. with kids - even girls enjoying consoles!!

Think the game is ace, you can play it with the controllors but its very tricky.

My friend owns this, he brought it round on release. Good, cheesy pop songs mostly, but it is great fun

Am I right in thinking the bongos are wired to the Cube and there are no 'wireless' models ala 'Wavebird'?
Wanted to get this big time as my bigger kids have been screaming for it. But with two babies running back and too I can't be doing with the hassle of bongos flying out of my hands every few minutes.
(Don't know how I'd survive without my beloved 'Birds'!)
