I never got a Playstation but I'm a big RPG fan on the PC...and as the PSONE is so cheap now I thought I'd pick one up and get some second hand games.

The question is: It seems a lot of the best RPG games didn't come out in the UK - is there any way to get an adaptor to play foreign games (like you used to be able to to on the SNES and Megadrive?) I'm looking to get games like Chronocross and Xenogears.

Nopes, your best bet would be to import a US PS2, then you can play the majority of PSone games and the latest PS2 RPGs as well.

Anyway if you decide to get a PS1 then get it imported as well, it may be difficult to get hold of the RPGs these days as they are obviously no longer produced.

FFVII - The 2nd best.

Vagrant Story
Front Mission 3
Xenogears
Suikoden series
Alundra
Grandia
Valkyrie Profile

yep, I'm gutted that I swapped my mint copy of Suikoden plus official strategy guide plus a fiver for V Rally...a few years ago mind you...
