I have also tried s-vhs, scart and video.

I have all the same kit, and it works for me.

You must use Input 3 on the 434 and set it to component.

You must flick the switch to component on the Mad Cow.

I assume that you still see the XBOX splash screen and the 434 states 525i rather than 625i. If not it will when you reboot.

Goto the standard M/S Setup screen, select VIDEO option, you will now have 3 new options 480p/720p/1080i and you set each to YES.

When you play most games (they don't have to be US versions) the 434 will tell you 525p, which means 480p.

I don't have any of the ones that run at a higher res.

However, if you have Slayers6 installed there is an app called Avalaunch. The 434 says that it runs at 1125i IIRC.

However the text is ghosted albeit clearer. I think the madcow does this, so I've ordered the official M/S Hi-Def kit from DVDBOXOFFICE. It's out of stock just now though.

Anyone want to purchase my madcow e-mail me rombomb@hotmail.com

Some photos of the new screen that appears in the MS dashboard and also the Avalaunch app running at 1080i. (although it states 1125i, some lines are not shown).

Finally received my Official MS Hi-Def kit from DVDBOXOFFICE. 17 quid delivered.

Absolutely proves that madcow is a pile of steaming poo.

So much clearer, more colourful, in-focus at 1080i (mad cow apparently is not screened).

The MS kit comes with built in component cables + stereo phonos. It has a socket for an Optical TOSLink.

DO NOT BUY MAD COW GO FOR THE REAL DEAL.
