light gun games on lcd tv's

hi there.
can someone tell me is it possible to play light gun games (time crisis 3 etc) on an lcd tv?
i know the normal light guns dont work as i have one myself and have tried it but i have seen they now do a 100hz gun that works on rear projection tvs and was wondering if this would work????
anyone able to confirm?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
paul

from what i understand (there's a very detailed explanation of how light guns work on this forum somewhere if you havent looked for it already) but basically the gun uses the refresh rates of the tv to work out where you are shooting at.

However, since tft monitors (and therefore im deducing lcd tvs) don't refresh in the same way as a crt (the monitor only changes the parts of the screen that are different iirc) then there's no way for the light gun to work out what you're shooting at, so i don't think it's possible at the moment im afraid
