Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

I see the GTA series will get a new chapter later this year (October).

Perhaps I'll keep my PS2 after all - possibly the best series of games ever released...

Quote:
Five years ago Carl Johnson escaped from the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas...a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs and corruption. Where filmstars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangbangers. Now, it's the early 90s. Carl's got to go home. His mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster. On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of corrupt cops frame him for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets. Liberty City. Vice City. Now San Andreas, a new chapter in the legendary series. Grand Theft Auto returns to the PlayStation®2

Looks good!

I am playing 'Manhunt' at the minute, and that is very good.

I'll probably wait for the PC version though. The PC version was the best out of the last two so I don't mind waiting!

A Xbox version of GTA: San Andreas is to appear according to estimate of Pachter in the financial year 2005, but because of a contract with Sony only after the Christmas business of this year: In 2. Quarter 2005 (February - April) million units of the Xbox version are to be sold.

Nope! They never brought out any GTA games onto the Gamecube. I'll doubt it will fit on the mini discs.
I do know GTA might be coming to the GBA.

I think the GC disks are 1.8GB and on PC the GTA games were about 2-3 GB, so its highly unlikely that we'll see a GTA game on gamecube.

It'll never come out on the Gamecube. Apart from disc size (which could be solved by splitting the game onto 2 discs) I doubt Nintendo would allow them to be released for their console.

It's no big loss, they're terrible games anyway. I've played all four GTA games (to completion) and they're the most over-rated, buggy, half-assed, untested games I've ever played

awaiting xbox version though i'll go for the PC version most probably. VC was very good fun to hack into and to mess around with handling stats and adding new cars. FBI guys driving RWD Pug 205s with masses of wheelspin was top fun!
