It's not really Resi Evil though.

It's an original game (Panic Maker, which looks brilliant, btw) and one level is taken from Resi 3, including its characters.

It's the same idea as the PS2 version of Viewtiful Joe having a Dante character (from the Devil May Cry series)

Anyway it looks pretty cool, IMO:

Cheers for the link though, I had no idea about this being in Panic Maker

The actual game (Panic Maker) looks like it could be brilliant. I'll admit I'm not exactly enthusiastic about the Resi 3 addition, but it's Capcom - more specifically, Production Studio 4 - so I'm very confident this will be a good game

Viewtiful Joe
Killer 7
Biohazard 4

That's a damn impressive portfolio for 2 years of work!

good point, but when i see the likes of "state of emergency" banded around as a reference to the game my heart just sinks lol.then again it could be a hell of a game.

That's just Gamesradar's poor gaming knowledge

From the videos I've seen of it, think of it as Jet Set Radio but with telepathy instead of skating/graffiti. It looks like a really original, fun game - obviously it might be a stinker, but it might also be very good.

There's a video here:
http://www.gametrailers.com/vault-p.html

Just scroll down slightly until you come to 'Panic Maker'

That screenshot looks terrible. Bad artwork and it looks like a PS1 game.

I hope it doesnt go like this as it is also not my cup of tea either. Although XIII was quite stylish, this just doesnt feel right. Although, and hopefully i am proved to be wrong.

I think cel-shading can be extraordinarily effective when used well (Jet Set Radio, Viewtiful Joe) and massively LAME when gimmicky (Auto Modellista, XIII etc). Personally, I loved Wind Waker and can sort-of-see why people didn't like it:

Actually, no I can't Aesthetics are subjective and all that but I love cel-shading (used properly). It flabbergasts me to this day that no-one bought/likes Jet Set Radio/Future.

Personally I think the above screen looks top and it will be my personal pleasure to kick Mr. Nemesis' cartoon butt after all the grief he caused me in Resi 3. But then again, there is no Jap game that is too cloying or cutesy for me.

I love in-game references like this (and Dante in VJ2). My personal fav has to be minor characters from Shenmue as bystanders in Virtua Cop 3.

regards,
anephric

I loved 'Jet Set Radio', and liked the new Zelda game and got on ok with 'XIII'. But this game looks appauling.

Also I am currently playing 'Viewtiful Joe' which is pretty good, although the graphics are poor compared to Zelda and certainly with most other gamecube games.
