Will there, won't there....

There seems to be a lot of speculation, both here and on other online forums about whether Nintendo will release another home console, or just concentrate on software, and the handheld hardware market.

So what does everyone think, will we see an N5, Cube2, etc etc?

Had to vote undecided

They haven't really said they will, nor have they said they won't.

As long as we still get games of Nintendo quality I don't care what format they are on.

They've already confirmed there will be (many, many times)

They even mentioned it during E3 yesterday and it's codename is now 'Revolution'

I heard that too, but Sony and MS have announced specs for their new consoles (or at least pontificated). We haven't heard anywhere near the same amount of noise from Nintendo however. Especially considering MS and Sony are hoping to launch next year, one would expect a LOT more info from Nintendo. I voted undecided, as i'd like to see a new console, just for competition's sake if nothing else, but there doesn't seem to be much interest in Nintendo's camp even. All the moves and shakes are coming from MS and Sony.

Maybe Nintendo are just saying that to see what interest is drummed up, and to see if they think a new console would be viable after the failures of N64 and gamecube.

They have been very coy in many interviews though, they have said that they necessarily won't be releasing what would be a traditional console to compete with MS and Sony.

I expect they may try to be more innovative along the lines of the DS.....

We shall see.
