mrmodchips is Bristol based. I've used them a couple of times and would recommend them.

Not sure if they have a physical shop, though. Like hornydragon says they're nearly all mail order.

I recently ordered 2 chips from Mr Modchips and they arrived the next day, and as said, they are based in Bristol. But as Raze has said, you never really know how good a company is until something goes wrong. But I'd also say, with knowledge from running my own business, that there's always two sides to a story. Raze has heard second hand to "steer clear" without probably knowing the full story.

I heard it from more than one person - which is good enough reason for me to stay away (and to be honest I'd rather not hear 'first hand' about the unsuitability of a company!) As far as I see a business should go the extra mile for it's customers - it's its most important asset. I've worked in customer services all my life but do understand that 'bedroom' businesses have little in the way of service recovery knowledge/skills (simply because they don't have access to the training availible) - however the nature of the 'complaints' has put me off the said company. I'm not telling anyway else to stay away - in fact I didn't even bring the company name up, however, at least people reading this thread may benifit from the insight and make up thier own minds. The other good thing about this being brought up is that companies out there will take note and acknowledge that us customers do count and if they treat us badly it will only hurt them where it hurts the most - their pockets!
