After my girlfriend gave strict instructions to her family in Italy that she wanted Knights of the Old Republic, they duly obliged by sending her Jedi Academy for Christmas.
Bless, it was her Grandad after all.) I know they are two different genre of game but can anyone shed any light on how good/bad Academy is as we don't want to open it in case she decides to send it back for them to exchange. After KOTOR got such good reviews I haven't seen very much on Academy....anyone help? Cheers :smashin

Why not try it yourself and if you don't like it exchange it in Game for KotOR. You have until end Jan I think to exchange 'unwanted Christmas gifts'

Do you think they would exchange it, the cover is the Italian version, although you have to look really closely to see that it is.

The two are very different, Jedi academy is based on the Jedi Knight FPS engine, and is about training to be a Jedi with lots of arcadeness. KOTOR is a RPG, near enough different ends of the scale.

Jedi Academy is supposed to be a decent enough game, but if you wanted an RPG type affair it is not really comparable.
