Logitech controller - I'm not convinced!

Is it me, or is the logitech wireless controller for the PS2 not quite there? Received it this morning and after a session on THPS4 I'm finding it difficult to string stricks together using manuals and tend to fall over a lot more.
Anyone any other experiences of this controller. It is suppose to be the official one endorsed by Sony.

Many thanx
Azzo.

I have one and I love it. Not played any of the TH games though but on things like Splashdown I find it perfect.

Are you sure it's not interference fro other 2.4GHz items like DECT phones, Wi-Fi etc.

Yes, unfortunately I reckon someone will see the opportunity before too long and bring one out with wireless headset as well.

MMM Interence, maybe? I'll give splashdown 2 a go this evening (just got it).
Not happy with the wire on the receiver - this is suppose to be a wireless controller!
Wavebird doesn't have wires does it!

Doesn't PS2 online have a headset option?

Hi Kramer

How does this controller feel compared to both of the
standard xbox controllers?

You know... its almost the same shape as the ps2 one!! shock horror !!!

The downside to this is that I noticed is ithat there's no way
to plug in xbox live hardware. That isnt such a bad thing as most of
the good xbox live players are busy leading the game eg PGR2
than chatting.

But for co-op games like Rainbow 6 pt3 it would be necessary.

I recently sold my Gamecube, I used to have the wavebird
controller... it's easily the best controller ive ever had.

Cya,

Shaz

Those are the ones. I have 2 x XBox, 2 x PS2 and the PC equivalent. All are absolutely superb. I doubt I'd have bought 5 of them if they weren't. And the real bonus is less wire clutter. Worth every penny.

How do they feel....
They are actually very well made, however I am starting to get cramp as the buttons and sticks are slightly more spaced out.
It is also very heavy.
Still I am sure I will get use to it. The joysticks are very smooth but the actual pad is not as good as the originally. It seems larger and therefore the top and bottom buttons are further apart making all important quick up down presses take slightly longer.
Azzo.

Splashdown 2 (PS2) - What a disappointment. Absolute pants. Graphics are cr$p, gameplay is cr$p, tracks are cr$p. How they can call this a sequel I will never know. Anyone thinking about it don't bother. This one will be going back to Game pronto.

Messiah - DITTO Bought on Friday, - This will be going back tomorrow - UTTER CRAP. The worst bit for me is that in career mode you only have 3 continues. How are you expected to progress with 3 continues. If you save and load, it removes your save position so you can''t go back. MAD. The people that designed this should be shot.
CRAP. CRAP. CRAP.
Do not buy this game.
This is only my opinion. But you would be better to burn your money than buy this game.

The real shame is that the first one was actually really good. Great graphics and gameplay and a lot of fun. All they had to do was make it a bit better instead they turned something great into utter sh!te.

Agreed, the first one was almost there, just a little tweaking with the tricks and gameplay. The new ones graphics are promising, but the gameplay and game style has gone out the window. Pitty and shame on you Atari.

Got the Logitech cordless controller on PS2. Put it thru an extended Colin Mccrae 04 drill and it passed with flying colours. Its so different from the official but adjusting took all of 5 mins. A great design - it is weighty but still comfy.

Not quite the Wavebird though. If aliens should come to earth I will present them with one, as evidence of mankind's achievements.
