Prince of Persia: Absolute joy!

What a game.

Installed it on my pc yesterday, and it really brings back the feel of the original. With blade dodging, hole leaping, slabs crumbling and enemies to dispatch with such an enjoyable combat system it's really good.

I would recommend a gamepad, (ps2 or xbox controller using usb link is the best) as the mouse and keyboard controls get a little fiddly.

Overall i would give it a very healthy 9/10

I am tempted to get this for the xbox as i was reading a review the other day and it sounded really good. Thanks for the thumbs up i think i will give it a try.

Is this out on the Xbox ?

I ask because I have it for the PS2 but its still in the cellophane and I'd prefer it for the Xbox.

Sony have a UK deal so it will be released on ps2 first. I got mine on import!

Ah darn it. I really wanna get this game but it comes out on the Gamecube next year. I can't get it for XBox cos my Dad would never let me on his XBox to play it and I really don't wanna buy the console that I hate the most to play it. The PS2....

Not at all, it is sublime! A couple of the puzzles are tricky, but don't take too long to figure out!

Very good game, but too easy by far. I actually like a challenge when playing a game, but this was as challenging as putting on a pair of socks

Picked this up from PC World , exclusive edition with a Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Analog 3 gamepad, on the shelf at £34.99 which I was happy to pay , went through the tills and it came up at £14.99! I was well happy!

I find the xbox version controls a bit iffy, esp the running up the wall part where he tends to run of in a mad dash to dead and not the way you intended.

One problem with the game that i can find... I'm on the Observatory part of the game, where you have to move the blue, green and red light thingys to get to diffrent platforms... well, everytime i try and swing to the platforms, the prince misses the vital swing pole, lands on the platforms and dies. This happens every time. Is there a way i can do a little swing jump to catch the pole.

This is 71% into the game and i'd rather buy 10 more copies and burn them all than start again!!
