Got this yesterday on the Xbox. Feel most of the reviews don't do it justice.
Its very very cool , gameplay feels spot on.

Quite tricky too : you need to be fairly accurate ( turn of auto-aim) and the weapons seem to have some sort of realistic behaviour (9mm feels like a peashooter but a .44 packs a punch , M16 is well twitchy and rides up on anything other than short controlled bursts,. Lots of sneaky things to do with throwing knives ,bits of glass and a crossbow.

Its also quite good fun hitting people over the head with chairs and ashtrays!

How's the cell-shading look? Been tempted with this for a while and didn't realise it was out.

How are the controlls? I hated timesplitters with the seperate move and aim controls. Is the auto-aim the same as halo where you can just blast away in the general direction without messing around with a crosshair?

I have to agree I really enjoyed this game, it's the first game I've finished since Halo.
In fact I was quite sad when it finished......

taking out a guard from miles away with the speargun....excellent!

I played the demo on the PC a couple months ago when I had a JVC SX-21 D-ILA projector on loan.

It certainly looks pretty amazing on a big screen. It's good fun. Quite tempted to get it for christmas.

Just been into my local GAME (Macclesfield) and seen an interesting offer.

A sticker on XIII (X Box version) said - Half marked price (£39.99)when purchased with any item over £19.99.

Couldnt see the sticker on anything else but sounds pretty good to me !!??

I saw that offer in Game Bridgend but it was for the Playstation2 version only.

Not sure thats how I'd describe Halo but the aiming in XIII with the auto-aim turned off is very critical. Head shots are really the order of the day throughout and the automatic weaponry is difficult to aim with anything other than short controlled bursts.

Sounds like you need the accuracy of a good optical mouse.
