Sony PSX DESR-7000?

Does anyone know of a importer in the UK that sells the PSX DESR-7000, and can anyone tell me if I can use it as a Sky+ decoder? I've been reading the details on Liksang.co.uk and I'm tempted to get one but need to know the price 1st Any infor will be greatly appreciated.

not out yet. Gets released later this month in Japan. The price for that model is 99,800 yen so equates to around £550. If you want to buy in UK expect a price of around £700.

Oh!

How much I was hoping to replace the ugly Sky+ box and get a component feed instead of RGB Does anyone know if would be possible to use this box as a replacement for Sky+? Also does anyone know of any importers in the UK who will be getting them in?

considering the Jap street price is around £550 I think you'd be hard pushed to find it anywhere under £700 taking into account shipping and taxes etc.
Also the tuner will be set for the Japanese market so it would be no good in the UK for TV signals (no PAL at all) as I said above..

Chill guys dont want to cause an argument, I was asking on a import from Japan. thanks for the replys but the drop in features and high price has put me off, I may look at the official product if it can act as a sky digi replacement etc.

No and it won't work with Sky unless Sony change their mind about supporting Sky...

Not very likely is it, considering the whole optical out on sony digiboxes, more likely to work with NTL or telewest
