Medal Of Honor:Rising Sun

Well I LOVED Frontline, played it through loads of times, so i have been looking forward to this!

Got it on th eXbox, and it is cack, utter cack, the firdt level is good, the last level is OK!

The rest are rubbish, I played through on normal, and I think this just means Jap soldiers can take 5 direct shots to the head with a sniper rifle before dying!

The graphics are OK, worse than frontline, and if you played Frontline, you will know that Anaheim was one of the best levels, this game has no Anaheim!

A HUGE disappointment, HUGE!

Damn, i was really looking forward to this having quite enjoyed front line. I will have to try and pick up a review and find out where it all went wrong as from the previews it was looking promising. I think i will have to stick to my guns and get XIII instead.

Now that I have Call of Duty, I feel no need to play any MOH game.

The picture on the box is horrendous as well. It looks like a football player carrying a rifle.

pretty screwed then mate!

You'll need a good gfx card to play call of duty as well as a fairly decent cpu / ram.

I agree Rising Sun IS a HUGE disappointment. I mean c'mon! Have you seen the cutscene graphics? Even the Gameboy Advance can do better than that! The levels suck, not a large variety of weapons. It tried to make it up with Co-op mode but didn't work. I'm glad it's rubbish which means that I didn't have to go and waste my money on it, I rented it. So I give it a -10/10. I still prefer Frontline and the original.

Yeah I rented it out on Gamecube. The graphics are THAT bad! They are REALLY BAD on the XBOX and PS2. My advice, send it back as soon as it arrives. Or if you don't mind wasting £30, just throw it in the bin.

must agree with all of the above..... haven't even bothered finishing it.... it's a pity EA don't look at the likes of Ubisoft and learn to put a bit of effort into their games.
Do not buy this game.

What do you mean you didn't bother finishing it?

The last level is on a par with the first level and only takes 3 hours to get there on normal difficulty!

But yes this game is sheeeeeeeeeeeet with a capital floater!

Hehe, this is what happens when half your development team (the talented half) for a product walk out and forms their own company.

Dunno, Perfect Dark was pretty cool! Better than Timesplitters, but suppose thats the exception that proves the rule!

You made me feel guilty there Spidey, so I've just finished it this afternoon.....makes you wish you'd rented it instead....going to take it back to Game, I think they will swap it OK (only bought it on Thursday).
Anyone played XIII? I've tried the demo on PC, plays well and feels like a quality game, I think I'll go for it or PGR2.

My brother an I were chatting about how cack MOH: Rising Sun was meant to be and he mentioned to me that EA are working on another title and that Rising Sun is just a collection of levels used as a filler until the 'real' title comes out ... has anyone else heard a similar rumour?

I wouldn't worry.... the kids will probably enjoy it.... just isn't suitable for us grumpy older kids
There's plenty to keep them going with the co-op mode and multiplayer.

Apparently there is a semi sequal coming out where you play his brother, don't know how true that is though!
