when people usually say "its a grower" they mean it was no where near as good as they thought it was gonna be and are trying to cover up there mistake lol,god knows i`ve used that excuse many a time lmao and that goes for films music etc.

Its a good game, but not a patch on the SNES or GBA versions.

Nice arcadey game to have a blast with your mates with and certainly the best kart raching game around.

Very good game i reckon i will play DD as much as i did Mario Kart 64 and the original, still very addictive and you cant beat it as a multiplayer game, the new co op mode just adds to the fun.

I'd have to say it's the complete opposite of a 'grower' for myself. Quite enjoyed the first evening learning the tracks, karts players etc. The computer AI was slightly frustrating, but I still felt I was having fun.

Myself and a mate had a pretty enoyable time over an hour of multiplayer, although the kids enjoyed it more so.

But.. since then it's gone downhill, certainly at least in single player mode. Where did the original racing game go? The driving skill has gone, replaced by a farce of pick ups and shoot mindlessly. Last night was the first time in a long time I've thrown a joypad down in complete frustration.

Thankfully in the same week I received a copy of F-Zero GX. Having never been a fan of the original (unlike Mario Kart), so far this is a real 'grower'. I'm hoping PGR2 on XBL will be the same!
