SNES Superscope & Plasma

Finally got my US SNES working again \0/ and I'm currently turning the house upside down looking for my Superscope receiver....but will it work on a plasma?
ISTR, it needs a CRT but can't remember for definite.

I don't think it will work. I recall something about not working on 60 hz or 100 hz.
