The best PES game ever?

I was reading the an article in the Nintendo magazine about the history os PES leading upto the Wii release. I saw a game I'd never heard of - 'Disney Football'......its Disney characters with the PES engine...dated 2002. Ive just bought it and played it with some mates...ITS PURE GENIUS!!!! Shame it was only ever released on the GC....anyone else played or tried?...You really must

Can't say I've heard of that one either(not that I'm really into football games TBH). Not many games that completely slipped under the radar on the Gamecube for me, must have been a very quite release.

Re: The best PES game ever?

Same here - not heard of that one. I have played every version in the pes series (back to ISS on the 64 ) so missed that one. Sounds like a laugh though!

PES 5 on the ps2 was by far and away the best ever , every version after that has got worse and worse .

I have to disagree with you there. PES 2008 Wii is definitely the best one so far imo.

Re: The best PES game ever?

best PES game is the 6th for 360 it was pure genius. The most recent for PS3 and 360 PES 08 is good but nothing compared to the previous ones.

Re: The best PES game ever?

Sorry guys, I beg to differ!

The most enjoyable version of PES in my personal opinion is the Japanese-only Gamecube version titled, Winning Eleven 6 Final Evolution. It played 'just right' in that it was responsive and fast. The series then went on to attempt a more realistic experience with sluggish controls and mechanical 'feel'.

regards FRANC

i have this game and its great (was also on PS2) compared to the other PES games, ie: PES3 and 4 (which i also loved)

BUT none of these compare to the absolute brilliance thatis PES2008 on Nintendo Wii, easily the best football game ever made as its pretty much the first one to evolve in any major way...
