Can they twist your arm?
New British brand i-box has taken the wraps off its first in a line of accessories for the tablet and smartphone generation with the Twist, a portable speaker offering wireless Bluetooth convenience and a natty design all for just shy of £70.
No prizes for guessing where they come up with the idea for the name and on its unusual form sits a circular, illuminated, top-mounted panel with the necessary controls and when paired it’s with a smartphone, a built-in noise-cancelling microphone allows the Twist to operate as a hands-free speakerphone for taking and making calls.
Inside the Twistʼs casing is a pair of 38mm full-range drivers and a passive bass radiator despites its compact 24x6.5x6cm (WxHxD) dimensions. The built-in battery is charged via the supplied USB cable with each charge providing around five hours of use. In addition to Bluetooth connectivity, music sources may be connected via a 3.5mm jack.
The Twist will be available from 12th December .
