Zeppelin gets some company
Bowers & Wilkins has just announced some new Wireless Music Systems. These two new, dedicated AirPlay speakers will join the very popular Zeppelin Air in combining wireless streaming with Bowers & Wilkins sound quality.
The two new products join the highly-regarded Zeppelin Air in featuring the simple to set-up and use AirPlay technology, which allows you to stream music wirelessly from your iOS device. Many customers already own nearly everything they need to enjoy its benefits: a wi-fi network and an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or a computer running iTunes. The technology is, we are told, made even more straightforward with the free Bowers & Wilkins Setup App, downloadable from the App Store.
B&W says the A7 is the 'ultimate' Wireless Music System with its audiophile-grade electronics including Digital to Analogue Converters capable of up-scaling audio to 24bit/96kHz. A7’s reassuringly large dimensions provide room for a 6 inch dedicated bass driver which should see off most of the competition in this market sector.
For those that are looking for something a little smaller, the A5 is based on very similar technologies but obviously wont pack the same punch.
A7 is available October priced £699.99
A5 is available October priced £399.99
