Sony Warehouse Ablaze in London Riots

We're sure you've all seen the shocking events in the Capital over the last few days and it seems as though Sony's massive distribution warehouse in Waltham Abbey, North London has been gutted by an enormous fire that we can only presume is a result if the unrest.

The warehouse isn't believed to have housed any hardware, instead it's used for distribution of Blu-ray discs, CDs and DVDs. The fire is believed to have started around midnight but, thankfully, no employees have been hurt according to Jin Tominari, a Tokyo-based spokesman.

We'll update this post when more details are known.

The irony is that a lot of what was in this warehouse was stock belonging to INDEPENDENT labels - so anyone "rebelling" against the rich (as some rioters have claimed) have picked the wrong target, those who can least afford it. A disc I worked on was in there and is surely delayed as a reuslt.
