LG really have the opportunity to swoop in and "save the day" with this. My only plea to them is: please do not spoil this display technology up with intrusive picture processing. All of the last LG products I've had the chance to see have had unwanted background video processing of some sort.

I know the stand acts as the place for all the inputs, such as HDMI, but I hope they become available without the stand.

This guy also talked big about the PX990 and look what a turkey that turned out to be. OLED does offer me some hope in this current mess of flawed TVs. Not sure LG are the company to do it justice though.

Hi,

Quite unfair imo - he is only doing his job & can only convey what he is able to. Nobody else bothered to display an TV OLED screen at CES so hat's off to LG for doing so. They have been making great strides & efforts over the last few years & offer the best bang for buck in the business most would argue. That LG OLED TV apparently was extremely impressive by all that saw it so it bodes very well for what LG can do with OLED in the future.

Also, most people in such events don't have the knowledge or know how to properly explain the tech. It is also very stressful

I hope somebody find a way to scale up the tech and drastically reduce the cost of manufacturing OLED. We've not moved onto 2011 and we still don't have the printing technology to print the OLED screen.

The danger is, if no one manage to create a cheap and reliable OLED soon, it might fade away.
