Slow connection? Please help

I'm on Virgin £10 monthly contract and I've been experiencing a lot of missed calls of late and when I have rung the number back they said they had tried to phone me but got a message saying that the number was not available or that there was just silence as tho it hadn't connected.

Thinking back, I had trouble with them over charging a few months back and had a hell of a job sorting it out, the trouble seems to have started around that time, or am I getting paranoid.

As anyone else had connection trouble with Virgin mobile or any thoughts as to what could be the trouble.
