Cancelling T-Mobile Contract

I took out my t-mobile contract 3 months ago and it was fantastic 800, min unlimited txt and unlimited internet £30 a month HAPPY!

Then....

Ive moved house and now i have no network at all!! i can get a network even 1 bar signal halfway down the street. Where do i stand with this? could i drop to lowest tariff and pay it off? Or get the cantract cancelled? Would another network let me transfer across??

Re: Cancelling T-Mobile Contract

Legally, you've no right to cancel due to a lack of signal.

But that doesn't mean they wont help you out if you approach them in the right way. Explain your situation and say you'd like to continue with them but the lack of signal leaves you no option but to leave. They may be able to drop you to the lowest possible tariff early (there is usually a minimum term before you can drop tariffs) and allow you to pay off the contract.

Sadly that's about the best you can hope for, unless you happen to have the gift of the gab or get the right person on the right day at TBag....

I have a simlilar problem.

I've got a blackberry bold on 3 and the signal is just shocking when at work or at home.

I really want to get rid of it and i was thinking of doing a similar thing as 'cancelling due to poor signal' as when i signed up to a new contract, i wanted a phone which would allow me to phone, text, email and go on the internet on the go and at the moment i can't

Anyone done anything like this and got a successful result of getting out of the contract?

I can speak from experience here and i've not known a single example of a customer being allowed to downward migrate or cancel on T-Mobile due to moving to an area with poor signal. I'm pretty sure 3 are just as strict.
