How can I access my CCTV DVR remotely please?

Hi folks.

I have a Killer XDH8 DVR at home connected to my router. Whilst I have managed to set things up within the home network, I have no idea how to access the unit remotely so that I can view the camera signals on my PC at work or on my iPhone for example.

Having read a few guides, I understand this is to do with "port forwarding" and configuring my router but to be honest, I haven't got a clue what I'm doing.

Anyone out there who can help with this?

Thanks.

1. check firmware for your system is up to date.
2. look in XDH - Software for suitable software for remote access from whatever device you are using.
3. look in CCTV Network Configuration Guide for a guide to setting up your system for access from the Internet.
