You're never too old.
I'm 36. I started playing when I was 16 and got to a decent standard by my early 20's. But I lost interest and stopped playing for many years. For the last 3-4 years I have gotten back into it. Now, I certainly don't claim to be any good, but I can't imagine [I]not [I] playing guitar as my #1 hobby.
There is
nothing physically to stop you learning. It's about motivation. Do you want to play guitar for the rest of your life? Try it and see. Most people give up after a few weeks or months. But some stick with it and guitar becomes a lifelong companion. There are plenty of threads here recommending cheap amps and guitars so if you don't take to it, it's no great loss.
