I want to give my sister an acoustic Guitar for her birthday, shes currently at uni and whenever she comes home I find my guitar in her room and I rember about 6 months ago she said she would love a guitar, so I would like to buy her a guitar for her to have at her flat.
I only have about £30 to spend, so obviously it's not going to be the greatest guitar ever. I have been the our local Oxfam and they said they tend to have someone bring one in every couple of weeks and will give me a call if they do.
I have seen many on ebay such as this one

Nylon strung so easier on the fingers and a warmer tone, plus 3/4 size could be useful if space is tight.

We actually have a 3/4 size nylon strung guitar in the roof, but it's too small and she doesn't like nylon strings. She loves my steel strung semi-acoustic guitar, probelm for me is it cost £120, a bit over my budget.

the ebay link looks like the cheap accoustics you get in argos that are nylon strung, but the top 3 strings are steel strung. i'm not sure what would happen if you restrung with standard 10 gage electric strings

unless out a second hand charity shop or similar, you might be struggling to find a steel strung accoustic for £30

I would also check out your local second hand market, classifieds, etc. You may drop lucky and pick up a lot nicer guitar than £30 can buy you new.
