Hello all, I have only been playing piano for a couple of months and have found myself a bit stuck as my teacher is away. I don't understand which notes are either sharp or flat in the five arpeggios on page 6 of the 2009 ABRSM Piano scales,arpeggios & broken scales book. These are G major,D major,A major,D minor and G minor. Any help with this would be wonderful, thanks in advance, jedbo.

As a violinist I'm not familiar with the book you're refering to or indeed the piano but I guess arpeggios are much the same wherever you are.

Gmaj: No sharps or flats
Dmaj: No sharps or flats
Dmin: No sharps or flats

Gmin: b flat
Amaj: C#

Thanks a lot for your reply Rank Bajin, the only one in 99 views, incredible. I tend to agree with what you have written apart from D major which I thought may be D, F sharp and A. I will try both ways and see what sounds right, thanks again mate.

You're right, I've just looked it up and it is F#. Seems I need to practise my scales and arpeggios a bit more.

Thank God you bothered to reply, it sounded fine both ways to me so I was still stuck, but then again I havent been playing long so I'm not gonna beat myself up over it just yet, thanks loads.
