Akai mpc 2000xl troubles

Just got 2 mpcs one workin with lines in the screen and one for parts that had a mint workin screen swithed the screens very carefully and now the workin mpc with the new screen when plug it in an turn the power on the screen along with every LED light around buttons on the mpc turn on and that all it will do now... I'm lost anyone ever seen this happen before? HELP!
