I liked it. The opening riff from By The Name was nice. It felt like the lyrics were written by someone other than the singer, and he was fitting them around his own melody. Most Rush stuff sounds like that to me so I don't mean it as a criticism, just an observation. Some of it tended towards standard guitar music but I thought that first track was quite fresh.

Hi Dave

Just had a look at your myspace page, like all of it alot, a couple that I really stick out are "Where they take me" sounds very much like the later Marillion stuff (post fish with Steve Hogarth)

"Burning Forever" now I really like this wouldn't mind knowing where I can get a better quality version, and by that I mean not the myspace compressed version.

"Broken Eyes" Sounds very moody could hear that in a film score, where the hero is walking off into the distance.

They are all very catchy must have listened to each track 4/5 times.

hi

thanks very much for listening! you are not the first person to compare my work to marrilion!

for a better quality version, you can either use spotify or it can be purchased from amazon, itunes, tesco, hmv etc think they are up at 69p per track!

thanks once again

I think your music is really good. The tunes bop along nicely, very melodic. I do have a couple of small criticisms tho, I hope that im not offending you by being totally honest and it's just my thoughts.

1) I think the vocalist could put more emotion/character/energy into his voice because your music has a very emotional sound and were not really hearing this shine through in the vocals.

2) I think that you could let the progression take off a little bit more. Some of the music sounds slightly restrained to my ears. Adding more Harmonies in there and getting more into the mix would take the energy of your music to a different level.

Other than that I really thing that your song writing is excellent and does have an originality to it.
