Re: Hi all would love some feedback

(Listening at time of writing) Omnia Vanitas is quality, looking forward to listening to some more.

Generally a metal head (heavier the better) but big fan of Autechre, Boards of Canada, Jam & Spoon, Layo & Bushwacka + loads of other stuff & what is probably old school trance now (don't keep up to date I am afraid).

Will give tracks a listen through.

Re: Hi all would love some feedback

Not a problem, enjoyed listening to it. It's good stuff!!

Initial reaction is that I liked Omina Vanitas & Motion3.
Not as keen (why I can't put my finger on at the moment) on Raf31 & Looking Back.

To be honest any opinions I have are mine alone and it is just an opinion at the end of the day. If you make the music and you make it for yourself and you like it...........job done.

Will give them another listen/chance though before being citical if at all.

Will defo listen to more if do any

Hi m8, yea im not sure on raf31 when I was making it, sounded good and deep. But now has no meaning lmao.

Looking back is a 90s happy hardcore sound... so not everyones taste.

And any opinion Is worth it m8..

I remixed the xbos 360s halo you may or may not like it YouTube - Halo theme Drum&Bass REMIX again man thank you..

Re: Hi all would love some feedback

Gave them another listen, still the same two for me though.

Looking Back as you said having a happy hardcore feel is a little too glo-stick for me and although nothing wrong with Raft31 it seems to have (don't get upset) a Soft Cell & New Order feel to it which throws me off I think.

Not too sure about the Halo remix. I don't know the Halo 3 theme, so can't really offer an opinion on that basis although I do like a bit of Drum & Bass (Photek, Ed Rush & Optical).

Read through this thread while your myspace was loading (slooooow internet today), and couldnt quite work out what static meant there, but I understand completely having listened.

I've got to say I'm not a trance fan, I dont activly dislike the genre, just never got into it. I'm more d&b, electro, dubstep and minimal. Though seeing you had high contrast as your friend gave you points in my book so I listened to the whole lot.

Cant really comment on the "good"-ness of the music, as I have nothing to compare it to. What I will say is that it hangs together and sounds proper, if I heard it in a club I wouldnt assume it was solo-produced bedroom DJ stuff (excuse the turn of phrase, theres meant to be a compliment somewhere in there!).

I really like 1:15ish into motion 3, sick beat. Raft 31 comes across as a bit too hardcore for my taste. And while I'm not a fan of looking back overall, the drop at 1:34 is great.

That probably doesnt read as coherently as I'd like, I was listening and writing. Dont take my comments about me disliking anything too seriously, its just not my type of music as a genre, it'd be like me asking you what you thought of the davis and parker savoy sessions if you werent into jazz. Like I said, my overall impression is it sounds like something you'd hear in a club, which I think is a pretty good compliment. I hope you take it that way. Keep up the good work!

Regards, Russ
