Hi all,

I got a mandolin a couple of years ago for my 16th, I've learnt a few bits and bobs on it (the basics and a couple of songs like all the way to reno) but I want to learn some more stuff but I'm not sure where to go!

Are there any decent mandolin based bands/artists? All genres welcome, but there's nothing like a bit of folky mandolin! Nothing too demanding either please, my guitarists fingers find the frets pretty small

I got "Shove that Pig's foot a little closer to the fire" sheet music from 1 of those two.
I then worked out how to play it on my 5-string banjo.

Google comes up with quite a lot if you use sensible search terms like "Mandolin forums" , "Mandolin tablature" and similar.

I don't use these - but I spend a lot of time at banjohangout.org and occasionally their related fiddle hangout as a source for music, midis, etc.
