Favourite "Instructional DVD" thread...

Just got Mike Michalkow's "Drumming System"

Now this is one heck of a package!

35 Discs, 5 big workbooks, the ability to send video's / questions to Mike and he'll appraise you.

100 playalong tunes with and without metronome. This really puts other drum systems to shame.

4 way views, karaoke style "follow the written music" - I'm really blown away by it.

Looking forward to getting stuck into it, there's sections on everything! This will really go hand in hand with the weekly drum lessons I have with my tutor.

They only did a thousand to start with and they have all sold out at this time - no doubt they are waiting on another production run.

Got mine via a contact a Railroad Media, but here's Mike's website. If you sign up you get free lessons, free playalong tunes etc.

Drumming System » Drum Lessons Evolved!

Really recommend this.

Other than that, I've got.....

"Rock Drumming System" - Jared Falk
"One Handed Drumroll" - Jared Falk
"Free Drum Lessons" - Railroad Media
"Drum Rudiment System" - Lionel Duperron
"Bass Drum Secrets" - Jared Falk
"Jazz Drumming System" - Mike Michalkow

Got them all from Railroad Media - Instructional Training Packs - inexpensive, cheap shipping to UK etc. They do lots of deals too once you've bought something, I get emails from Dave at Railroad offering cheaper deals than the web price (the web price is cheap enough though!)

How are you getting on mate? I fancy getting a small dvd player/screen to mount to my rack for these.

Re: Favourite "Instructional DVD" thread...

I've been away for a week, so apart from watching about 45 mins of DVD 1, I haven't had any time to do anything.

I'm planning a relaxing weekend, so although I'll bang about on the drums, I shouldn't think I'll watch any more of the DVD for a few days.

I've got my kit setup in front of the PC/console, so I can see my screen quite easily. I think I might invest in some kind of wireless mouse though so I can pause/rewind the DVD without ahving to keep getting up and going to the computer.

Got an iPhone? There must be an app for that!

I fancy getting a little dvd player/screen for my kit so I can watch and play etc.

I see you're over on vdrums forum too.

I've been right through disc one - need to get stuck into the rest though. With my tutor I'm learning double bass pedals - just ordered some Pearl Eliminators. As I always say "if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right!" (or in for a penny in for a pound)
