Is 'musicians corner' dying?

Seams to be very little traffic on here at the moment.
I posted a new link to more of my orchestral material yesterday in the 'AV Forums unofficial demo' thread, but I don't think anyone has noticed.

We need to keep this section buzzing with fresh content, and the demo thread is the ideal place to keep it alive.

Re: Is 'musicians corner' dying?

It's always going to be a "niche" area but almost 1000 posts and becoming another great resource here at AVF - I certainly wouldn't say dying....

Re: Is 'musicians corner' dying?

Musicians Corner has already helped loads of people with equipment recommendations, technique, resources etc. Even if there's only a handful of posts a day, it's still worthy of a place on the internet.

At a rough estimate, I reckon around 40% of those who pledged their support in Kieron's Feedback thread have never posted.

Re: Is 'musicians corner' dying?

I think it's fine. It's almost as busy as the 'Music' section. It was quiet last week but that'll happen sometimes.

the music section itself is pretty quiet, with usually just about half a dozen posts per day most of the time. this section is even quieter. there must be some irony in the music sections being quiet

no need for people to go posting a load of pointless crap however. a few good posts are worth 100 crap ones

Re: Is 'musicians corner' dying?

Yeah, that's what I mean. It's almost as popular as the Music section, and the Music sections been around for years.

Re: Is 'musicians corner' dying?

Perhaps Musicians Corner would be better in the "Movies, TV Programmes and Music" section.

Seems like it's in the wrong area down on Non-AV when music is in the above section.

I don't mean a subsidiary though - I mean that section to look like the following....

Movies, TV Programmes and Music

Movies and TV Programmes On Disc and Downloaded

Movies and The Cinema

On Television

Music

Musician's Corner

Movie Memorabilia

Will put a link in forum feedback to this post to see what the admin's thoughts are.

Re: Is 'musicians corner' dying?

TBH i think people just get used to AVF being so busy 9/10 forums i go on normally only get a few posts a day which is annoying is unless you want to go on guitar forums full of kids or Americans (I know its prejudice) posting senseless rubbish they are all ghost towns

Re: Is 'musicians corner' dying?

Must admit I haven't posted here as much as I'd like. However I wouldn't say the place is dying - I echo the sentiment of a few good posts are worth 100 rubbish ones.
