I am going!
Who are you looking forward to seeing? I am excited about :
Slipknot
Korn
Limp Bizkit
Pendulum
Trivium
Killswitch Engage
Dragonforce
Papa Roach
To top the lineup for me, it would be great if All That Remains, Bullet for my valentine, paramore and Enter Shikari were playing

although you can add The Prodigy and Motley Crue to that list.
ive heard that paramore arent gonna be able to make it because they are touring with no doubt in the us on the same dates. which sucks because ive seen them a couple of times and they were suprisingly good. plus i met hayley which was awesome!!

that's because they are all kids who have never had the FNM live experience. Great band, great live act, shame I really cannot afford it this year. Damn having a house that has rotting wood and needs new facia boards fitting.

I'd love to see Anvil after seeing the film, but there is too much cr@p on the line up for me, I'll do a day ticket at best.

Not going, alot of money and effort to see only three bands on the bill that I'd want to see.

Hopefully get a day ticket for Faith No More.
Not paying nearly 200 quid for a weekend just to see a few bands.
Have been to download 3 times but its just the same bands now.
Deftones

If i were younger i'd go to see Faith No More alone. Remember buying The Real Thing and Angel Dust then saw them on The Word. So many bands since say they were influenced by them. They were not huge but the imprint they left would state otherwise. If there on form and Patton doesn't go nuts they could tear Download apart.
The only other band i would see now would be ZZ, but i saw them at Donie in 85.
Having said that it looks a damn good line up.
Wonder if for once it'll equal some of the big european festivals which normally make ours look poor.

I mean, Pendulum, & The Prodigy...
I thought Download was supposed to be a rock festival, not a dance music festival!
All the "old" bands, like ZZ Top, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, & Anvil, I saw in their 1970s/80s prime and of the others I'd only pay to see Dream Theater - but I'm going to see them in Southampton instead! |

Just got a little bit more exciting (for me anyway)
HOTLINKINED IMAGE REMOVED BY MOD
For me:
BMTH
Volbeat
FaceCage - These guys are a cool "Nu-Metal-ish" band - Corey Taylor produced (he also part owns the label they are on) so he may appear on stage with them
Fightstar - Last album was pretty decent bit still cant get "Thats the guy from busted" out of my head whenever I see them
Sevendust
Static x
so roll on the next 40 or so bands, its staring to look up, fingers crossed Lamb of God haven't signed an exclusive with Sonisphere
